Eye Surgery Co-Management in Oak Brook
Eye surgery is a big decision, and you deserve a team that’s with you before, during, and after the process. We offer co-managed care for vision correction and cataract surgeries, giving you the benefit of advanced diagnostics, personalized attention, and continuity of care from a team you already know and trust.
We work closely with leading local ophthalmologists to ensure a seamless experience—from surgical evaluation to recovery—and keep your long-term vision health at the center of every decision.
What Is Co-Managed Eye Surgery?
Co-management is a shared care model between your optometrist and your surgical team. At Oakbrook Eyecare, we handle all pre-operative evaluations, surgical referrals, and post-operative follow-up care, so your experience stays coordinated and familiar.
Our role is to ensure you’re a suitable candidate, help you understand your options, and monitor your healing and visual outcomes—without bouncing between unfamiliar providers.

The Benefits of Co-Managed Eye Care
Surgical Procedures We Co-Manage
We provide co-management for several common vision correction and restoration procedures, including:
Cataract Surgery
We conduct initial evaluations, discuss your lens options—including premium intraocular lenses (IOLs)—and provide follow-up care to ensure proper healing and visual clarity after your procedure.
LASIK and PRK
If you’re considering laser vision correction, we’ll determine if you’re a suitable candidate and refer you to a trusted surgeon. After your procedure, we’ll manage your follow-up visits and vision stability.
Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)
An alternative for patients over 40 who are not LASIK candidates, RLE replaces the eye’s natural lens to reduce dependency on glasses. We assist with evaluation, lens selection, and post-surgical monitoring.
Specialty IOLs and Advanced Lens Technology
Patients opting for toric, multifocal, or extended depth-of-focus IOLs benefit from our in-depth lifestyle assessments and visual outcome tracking—ensuring the right fit for your vision goals.
